Dear God,

I just want to thank you for being so awesome. Thanks for all the blessings you gave me today! And even though our windshield got broken, thanks for not letting anything get stolen! Thanks for just being there and listening to me all the time.

Thanks!
Your Child

Dearest Child,

You are doing wonderful! I love you so much! I'm always here and always listening and I am so happy that you are talking to me and sharing with me your joy.

The Reality of Heavenly Father

We must all perhaps have questioned the existance of God at time or another in our lives.  Perhaps different events cause us to wonder if there really is a God that loves us.

I'll say to you that He does! He lives and He loves us!

How do I know these things? An ancient American prophet (whose record is kept in the Book of Mormon) said:

"Faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." (Ether 12:6)

I believe in God, I believe He exists and when those hard times come up, I believe that He knows better and that He knows more than I do; that He sees the bigger picture, more than I do.  When my brother passed away a few years ago, the only thing that kept me going was knowing that God was in charge and that He'll take care of things.

I promise that God doesn't do anything or let anything happen that would be beyond our ability to handle. We will not understand why certain things happen. It is not fair to God that we deny Him because of certain events taking place.

The Biblical prophet says:
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We will not know everything, but we can know that God lives.  Pray to Him to ask Him if He does and He will tell you.
